History
Webster’s Import Service was created in 1987 by Bob and Roger Webster. The business was located in a 4,500 square foot facility at 203 Swing Road, Greensboro, North Carolina. The father and son team were the only two technicians and they serviced only Volkswagens and Mazdas. Roger was a master technician in Mazda and Volkswagen service and Bob had over 30 years experience in the automotive service industry. Mary Webster, Bob’s wife and Roger’s mother, handled the accounting, employee benefits and office management. Together they founded the company, working long hours and building a loyal clientele.
As Webster’s Import Service grew and hired new technicians, services were expanded to include other imports. In 1993 a larger, 10,000 square foot shop was built at 306 Grumman Road Greensboro, North Carolina. Currently this serves as the business location for Webster’s Import Service.
Today, Webster’s Import services Acura, Audi, BMW, Chevy, Ford, Honda, Infiniti, Lexus, Mazda, Mercedes, Mini, Nissan, Toyota, Volkswagen, and Volvo cars, vans and trucks as well as other imports and domestic vehicles. Webster’s Import Service’s team also includes a Service Manager, Service Advisor/Parts Manager,Courtesy Shuttle Driver, and six technicians. The facility includes nine lift bays and a 4 wheel alignment rack. Webster’s Import Service is a Certified NC State Inspection Station, doing both emission and safety inspections.
The company was originally established as a family owned and operated business by Roger and Kathleen Webster. Currently, James Cornell is the new owner and operator of Webster's Imports service. In the December of 2023, Roger decided to hang up the wrenches and close the tool box for retirement! Webster's Import Service is very proud of its history and 37 years of service to the triad community.
